Adventures in a Perilous Realm

Painting is dangerous, very dangerous.

When you start a new work you have no idea to where you will journey, how long you will spend trapped or what wonders or horrors await. Hours then days, even weeks, can pass in a twinkling, only commemorated by aching limbs and shoulders, by chilled fingers and toes, by hands and clothes bedaubed in layers of paint, by blurred and fragmented reality, having had little food or sleep or peace for ages – and lacking any sense of  direction, indeed any hope of arrival.

Castle Rock: a crumbling old castle on an idyllic island.

A pleasant place for a lazy picnic or a haunted stronghold with a fearsome secret?

Visit Towering Mountains, Climbing Forests, Cascading Waterfalls and Sandy Shores as the Sea Sighs

All conjured out of the air from nothing more than an innocent canvas, a few bristling brushes and a mingled palette of heaped colour and hue.

The Hidden Glen: the once impregnable citadel of the mighty mountain king.

Yet lost to all but legend.

Come Explore a Mystical Land

For the imagination is the unknown country where memory and dreams and myth blend into a secret world.

Elfs will walk the woods.

A Path Through a Forest Led: as the trees close in and dusk looms and merry voices can just be heard.

Find Wonder in Nature

The manifestation of creation in all its fiercest glory and elemental power as time unrelenting grinds all to dust.

Tempest: a sea of massive waves rolling onto Middle Earth with unstoppable force.

Discover Beauty in Nature

Fantastic vistas and dramatic landscapes in simple paints.

Setting Sun: the culmination of a joyous day as dusk slips into the tranquil sea.

See and Experience and then Possess the Spirit of the Romantic World.

Adventures in a Perilous Realm, the untamed domain of dreams made manifest in colour.

Rowanhills: an ancient rowan tree, revered for warding off evil, tried by time yet flourishing.
